The Finnish Postal Museum
at Museum Centre Vapriikki
The Finnish Postal Museum is an important partner and main supporters of Finlandia 2017 and also an exhibition venue. Some of the invited collections are displayed there. The theme day of the exhibition for the Postal Museum is Sunday. The Postal Museum is a must visit for every philatelist and (postal) history enthusiast. The Postal Museum conducts research, records and exhibits items related to communications and goods traffic created by postal services and mail communications. Its collections comprise a large number of objects and images as well as all stamps issued in Finland and various special collections of philatelic products. The Museum hosts Finland's only public library specializing in philately and postal history, where researchers, philatelists and everyone else interested has access to books and extensive archives. |
